What’s the backstory, and how did you come up with this idea?

The genesis of BRISKPE originates from a genuine struggle encountered in real life, a lightbulb moment sparked by witnessing personal and friends’ international payment woes. As I observed him navigating the labyrinth of cross-border transactions, burdened by hefty fees and convoluted processes, it became evident that there was a significant gap in the existing system.

The frustration my friend faced was a universal woe for freelancers and MSMEs, grappling with the complexities of global payments. That moment became the catalyst for launching BRISKPE – a vision to bridge the gap and alleviate the financial and operational burdens faced by those navigating the intricate landscape of international transactions. It transcended being just a business idea; it evolved into a mission to empower freelancers and small businesses, turning their struggles into opportunities for growth.

How did you build BRISKPE?

The journey to build BRISKPE was marked by innovation, market insight, and a customer-centric approach. Recognizing the critical need for streamlined cross-border payments for MSMEs, we conducted thorough market research and developed a platform to address existing challenges. Our talented team, strategic partnerships, and focus on regulatory compliance were pivotal in navigating hurdles. Continuous improvement, scalability, and a commitment to user needs shaped BRISKPE into a robust platform, ensuring a seamless experience for MSMEs in the complex world of cross-border transactions.

What does success mean to you and your company?

Success, for both me and our company, is synonymous with the tangible impact we create in the cross-border payments’ landscape, especially for MSMEs. It goes beyond financial metrics; it's about being the catalyst that transforms challenges into opportunities. Success, to us, is successfully navigating the complexities of cross-border transactions for these businesses, facilitating seamless global commerce, and contributing to the success stories of countless MSMEs.

What has been your biggest struggle and greatest achievement?

The biggest struggle encountered was understanding the diverse regulations, and financial landscapes in cross-border payments—a challenging puzzle that keeps us on our toes as we strive for seamless and efficient solutions. The greatest achievement was launching a cross-border payments platform that transforms complexity into effortlessness, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to navigate global transactions with unparalleled ease. 

If you had a chance to do things differently, what would you do?

If given the chance to do things differently, I might have encouraged my past self to embrace emerging technologies even more fervently, while still preserving the core mission of making cross-border payments effortless for MSMEs. The bumps and challenges have shaped us, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. The beauty lies in the unpredictable journey, and I would advise my past self to enjoy every twist and turn a little more, as it's the obstacles in the road that make success stories more exhilarating.

How do you look at AI adoption into the business?

The incorporation of AI/ML technologies is poised to revolutionise our operations, promising to elevate customer experiences while simultaneously reducing friction and optimising the efficiency of payment processes. Specifically, within the context of BRISKPE, AI's role in scenarios like fraud detection, refining sanction screening, and expediting the KYC process underscores its strategic value. Also, AI's ability to predict customer behaviour during account usage aligns seamlessly with BRISKPE's commitment to staying at the forefront of technological innovation. This not only establishes BRISKPE as an innovative leader in the industry but also results in a more competitive and cost-efficient environment for our esteemed customers.

What drives you personally as an entrepreneur?

I am driven by the pursuit of innovation and the desire to create a positive impact. The thrill of solving challenges, pushing boundaries, and building something that can make a difference in the lives of millions of MSME exporters fuels my entrepreneurial spirit. It's the constant quest for improvement and the belief that every obstacle is an opportunity in disguise that keeps me motivated on this journey.
